Terms and Conditions

This English text is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.

1. Operator + acceptance

Provider: Registro Bonaire is a trade name of F.A.S.T rental Bonaire B.V., established on Bonaire (Caribbean Netherlands). Full company details — registered address and KvK (Chamber of Commerce) number — are listed on About us. Questions? Email info@registrobonaire.com.

By creating an account or purchasing a paid service, you agree to these terms.

2. What the service is

An online platform where vehicle owners on Bonaire (BES) can:

• Register their vehicle (car or scooter)
• Transfer ownership to a buyer fully digitally, based on the buyer's email address — processed through the dashboard, with an audit trail. An ownership PDF is a downloadable proof after the fact; you do not need to keep or hand over a PDF in order to transfer
• Use the public license plate/VIN lookup
• Submit theft reports
• Purchase paid services (official PDF reports, verification)

For a transfer, uploading proof of insurance is optional — it is not required in order to complete the transfer.

Boats, other vehicle types and B2B portals will follow in later phases.

3. What it is NOT

Not a government register. This is a commercial service and not a replacement for the official license plate, ownership or vehicle register of Bonaire (KPCN/RDW/BCN). The data and proof documents on this platform have informational value between parties that use the service — no independent legal evidentiary value — until formal government recognition has been obtained.

In concrete terms this means:

• We are not a replacement for KPCN, RDW or the BCN license plate register
• A digital ownership PDF is proof between you and the buyer — not directly with the government. The PDF is a downloadable proof document, not a transferable token: the transfer itself takes place digitally in the platform based on the buyer's email address, not by handing over the PDF
• A lookup result is informational, not legal proof of ownership

4. Account & responsibilities

You declare that:

• Your CRIB number, license plate and VIN are correct
• You keep your password secret and report unauthorized use immediately
• You do not register vehicles that you do not own
• You do not file false theft reports (these are verified against the audit log and may lead to a criminal complaint)

5. Rates

Current rates are listed on the homepage and in the respective checkout flow. At the time of publication:

• Vehicle verification (one-time per vehicle): car $9.95 (€9.95), motorcycle $9.95 (€9.95), scooter $7.50 (€7.50), quad $9.95 (€9.95)
• Ownership transfer: $13.10 (€13.10) per transfer. When starting the transfer, the seller decides who pays this fee — the seller themselves or the buyer
• Official history report: $10 (€10) per report

Rates are quoted primarily in USD (the official currency on Bonaire); an EUR equivalent (1:1) is available at payment.

We may change rates with 30 days' notice via the homepage and email to registered users.

6. Refunds & Cancellation

Our services are digital products that are delivered immediately:

• Ownership transfer: once the payment has been completed and the transfer has been completed digitally (the vehicle has been put in the buyer's name in the platform), the product has been delivered. No automatic right of return.
• Verification: once the payment has been completed and the vehicle has been marked as verified, the product has been delivered. No automatic right of return.
• History report: once the PDF has been generated and delivered, the product has been delivered. No automatic right of return.

A refund is available within 14 days if:

• The service did not work due to a technical failure on our side
• A payment was charged twice or incorrectly
• The transfer could not be completed digitally (the vehicle was not put in the buyer's name)

To request one: email info@registrobonaire.com with your email address, transaction or payment ID and a short explanation. We respond within 5 business days.

7. Liability

We provide the service to the best of our ability, but:

• We give no guarantee as to the legal consequences of using a digital proof of ownership without formal government recognition
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue or consequential damages
• Force majeure — such as prolonged outages of Stripe, Supabase or the island's internet connection — excludes liability

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the account at any time:

• You can terminate your account through support
• We may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, fraud or non-payment

Vehicle records and audit log entries are retained after termination because they form the chain of evidence for other parties (see also §5 Retention periods in the Privacy Policy).

9. Governing law & forum

These terms are governed by Dutch law. For the BES islands, BES case law applies in addition where relevant. Disputes that are not resolved by mutual agreement will be submitted to the competent court in The Hague.
